Explore the land of blues and jazz with renowned Chicago-based composer and trumpeter, Orbert Davis.  This journey will showcase the diversity and drama of the lower Mississippi as well as the mighty river’s historic influence on the evolution of the music that traveled up the river birthing American Jazz.  Visit historic towns with palatial mansions and tree-lined streets during the day, and revel in the regions music during the on-board concerts by Davis and his jazz quintet in the evening.  This is a one-time custom journey co-presented by TV’s famed “Grannies on Safari and Orbert Davis’ Chicago Jazz Philharmonic.
